An exploration of the Arms of Mewar, from Survival to Combat — 7th October 2020
Changing times called for strategic changes in the manner in which the arms were produced. This session, with Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, will explore the evolution of the arms of Mewar with changing contexts of survival and combat. As a first, the Museum will also be revealing select rare pieces from its Arms collection.

Shastra Parirakshan An Arms and Armour Conservation Project — 10th October 2020
The City Palace Museum, Udaipur houses an extensive collection of Arms and Armour. The session will give an insight into the conservation of these objects, ranging from Swords, Daggers, old Guns, Rifles, Pistols, Revolvers, and Ammunition, etc.
The session features a presentation by Dr. Vandana Singh, Arms Consultant & Conservator, on the project undertaken at the Museum, and includes a virtual visit to the Arms-Armour Conservation Laboratory.
