A major exhibition of Mewar paintings, inaugurated by Her Excellency Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chairman, Allahabad Museum Society, and Shriji Huzur Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. The exhibition marks the first-ever collaboration between the Allahabad Museum, Prayagraj, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and The City Palace Museum, Udaipur managed by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. The exhibitions brings together 83 rare paintings from the 18th to 21st centuries, and explores the profound bhavs of prem (love) and samarpan (dedication) through mythological narratives, folk romances, and episodes from the lives of the Maharanas of Mewar, including themes from the life of Shree Krishna and Radha ji, Dhola–Maru, and classical texts such as Rasikpriya, Bihari Satsai, Geet Govind, and Sursagar, offering audiences a rare insight into the evolution and enduring legacy of the Mewar School of painting
